Come and celebrate St Francis’ Feast Day (Oct 4)
St. Joseph’s Church Newtown – September 27th
ST. FRANCIS of ASSISI
A Journey in Song
A pilgrimage of the heart through the life of St. Francis of Assisi.
COME ON THE JOURNEY
This unique concert weaves song, music & narration to tell the life of St. Francis of Assisi—an extraordinary and inspiring man. Australian Capuchin-Franciscan priest Fr. Francis Merlino wrote of ‘Good Morning Good People’: “This is an honest and real presentation of the life of the saint focusing on the important aspects of his life".
During a recent journey overseas, Peter Kearney was invited to present ’Good Morning Good People!’ in many Franciscan Friary Churches in Ireland, Scotland and England. ’Good Morning Good People!’ is mainly for adults but would also be enjoyed by secondary and upper primary students.
Peter Kearney is a Catholic songwriter for whom music has been a full time work and ministry for over 20 years. Fourteen albums of his songs have been published. Hymns and songs include ‘Fill My House’, ‘The Beatitudes’ and ‘Where Is Your Song, my Lord?’. Roma Dix has played flute for this presentation in many concerts in Australia, Ireland and the U.K..
Congratulations on creating and producing such a delightful, accurate, thought-provoking and musically pleasing interpretation of the life of St. Francis.
