{"id":414,"date":"2002-12-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2002-12-02T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lanuera.com\/cmwp\/?p=414"},"modified":"2002-12-02T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2002-12-02T00:00:00","slug":"tribute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/church-mouse.net\/?p=414","title":{"rendered":"Tribute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\" class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 3pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\"><span class=\"dropcap\">I<\/span>                            have experienced something quite wonderful at <\/span><st1:place><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">St                            Vincent<\/span><\/st1:place><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">&#8216;s                            Church.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">                         <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\" class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 3pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">The                            warmth of the community, the stimulation of Ted&#8217;s sermons                            and his extraordinary vision and generosity, the very                            practical works of social justice, the energy and the                            space to grow as a Christian are all things I treasure.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<\/div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 3pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">One                            can only be in awe at what <\/span><st1:place><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">St                            Vincent<\/span><\/st1:place><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">&#8216;s                            has come to mean to many thousands of people. It has                            been such a privilege to be part of this inspiring community.                            It is Ted Kennedy who made this possible.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">                           <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\" class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 3pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">I                            want to record my thanks to Ted for his long hard struggle                            to bring justice to Aboriginal people &#8211; the frustrating                            task which he undertook to move the church authorities                            to do the right thing by the Aboriginal Medical Service.                            The fruits of that long labour are yet to be yielded.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">                           <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\" class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 3pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"\">My                            collaboration with Ted on his great book &#8211; <span class=\"BodyTextItalicChar\"><span style=\"\"><em>Who                            is Worthy? <\/em><\/span><\/span>&#8211; is one of the major                            highlights of my life.
